Parish Pastoral Council

The Parish Pastoral Council, a consultative body, promotes full participation of our parish toward its mission. It does this by constantly assessing our parish life, reevaluating the structures of its organizations and activities, and advising the pastor in all areas of pastoral concern.

Chaired by the pastor, the Parish Pastoral Council includes six parishioners selected for three-year terms through a process of prayerful discernment, following guidelines of the diocesan Secretariat for Catholic Life and Evangelization. In addition, the Council may include appointed and ex-officio members.

Currently the Parish Pastoral Council includes :

Monsignor John Close Sarah Leyden
Sr. Kathleen Callaghan, SSJ Jeanne Mulvanerty
Ann Cogan Robert Murdocca
Kevin Connor John McConnell
Bob Fitzgerald Barbara Seaman
Maureen Heron Raffi Terzian
  Frank Tosti

To ensure growth and renewal in our parish, the Parish Pastoral Council has defined six core ministry areas that most accurately define our efforts to grow as a community of faith with a focus on stewardship:

Worship Youth & Young Adults
Adult Faith Formation Catholic Education
Outreach Parish Services

Core Committee serves as the forum for those who serve in each of these areas to periodically reflect on their particular ministry in parish life and to determine the means to enhance it. Core Committee members not only examine how the different groups meet their needs and goals, but actively seek ways to expand and to strengthen their area of ministry within the parish.

Each Core Committee includes members of the different ministries within that area plus other interested parishioners.

Information on participating in any of these ministries can be found at Ministry Areas.
