LETTER FROM THE ARCHBISHOP
A Season of Hope and Connection
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
My heart is full of gratitude as I write to you today.
One of my top priorities is helping our Church move from crisis to hope. Over the past year, as I’ve witnessed the incredible ways you serve our community, it is I who am filled with hope. There is so much good work being done to renew the church, and the momentum is palpable. That is why I am so excited to share with you the bold new steps we are taking together.
Allow me to highlight some of our most important recent achievements.
Launching Phase 2.0 of “Catholic. Every Day.”
This week, we launched Phase 2.0 of “Catholic Every Day,” our media campaign to raise awareness about the “Trust and Hope Initiative,” and our many efforts to renew the Catholic Church of Philadelphia. Our campaign will air on live TV, Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, and even local billboards.
But beyond paid media, this campaign also kicks off a new era for our digital ministry in the form of Social Media. As of Feb 2, 2026, we are reinvigorating our social media presence in an effort to “meet people where they’re at,” which is on their phones, on all major platforms.

The Launch of Our First “Missionary Hubs”
I am also grateful to share that nearly four months ago, we officially launched the first five pilot locations of our “Missionary Hubs.” Each hub is staffed and operational.

Sincerely Yours in Christ,

Most Reverend Nelson J. Pérez, D.D.
Archbishop of Philadelphia
What is a Missionary Hub?
Simply put, a Missionary Hub is our way to pursue growth over maintenance. These are not just programs; they are dedicated teams planted in existing parishes to concentrate energy and resources on serving people who are away from the Church. Each hub is fully staffed with a director and two or more full-time, salaried missionaries. Their job is to integrate our pastoral, educational, and charitable ministries to listen, rebuild trust, and invite people home.
My Request to You: Follow Us on Our Journey of Renewal
I have said before that I cannot do this alone–I need your help. This is the first of many updates I hope to share with you as we plant the seeds for a vibrant future. I invite you to follow us on this journey so you can see the power of the Spirit at work in these new Hubs and across our region:
