Dear Brother Priests and Deacons,
The pastoral and temporal response of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continues to evolve as this public health matter develops. During these uncertain and anxious times, all of us remain committed to fulfilling the mission of the Church through her various ministries and I know much has been asked of you in recent days.
Yesterday afternoon, Archbishop Pérez recorded pastoral messages for the people of the Archdiocese (English and Spanish), for all Church employees, and for the young people in our schools. Links to all of those videos can be found below.
Pastoral Messages from Most Reverend Nelson J. Pérez in the Wake of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic
Please work to share this material with your parish and school communities as well as your parish employees and volunteers in the manner you deem most appropriate including via email, your social media accounts, and your parish websites.
The videos are also being posted to Archdiocesan social media platforms as well as the special COVID-19 resource page on the Archdiocesan website. Thank you for your ongoing sacrifice and dedication to care for those entrusted to you.
As Archbishop Pérez said,“We will navigate the difficult waters of this challenge as a united human family, for after all is said and done, we are people of Hope!”
Sincerely in Christ,
Rev. Msgr. Daniel J. Sullivan
